The CoE will focus on developing innovative products that provide the natural goodness of oils (e.g., essential fatty acids, omega-3 and omega-6, vitamins), more healthful choices (e.g., products with minimized saturated and trans fat contents; low-calorie options), and functional foods (products with added functional ingredients for additional health benefits). UNILEVER FOODS R&D The new CoE is a part of the recent restructuring of Unilever Foods R&D, which employs 2,800 R&D professionals around the world, working in four Global Research centers, six Global Product Development centers (the Centres of Excellence), twelve regional development centers, and in-country implementation teams in all countries/ multicountry organizations in which Unilever operates.
