摘要

The Irish-born poet Louise McNiece in his 1935 poem Snow described the world as 'incorrigibly plural... of things being various'.1 McNeice would never have imagined the discipline of economic geography as one of those things, but as Robert Hassink, Gong, and Marques (2018) astutely observe, it is. There is not one economic geography, but a plethora of them. It is a case of economic geography 'being various', 'incorrigibly plural'. Furthermore, making Hassink, Gong and Marques argument particularly interesting, is that the variousness of economic geography derives from the discipline's very own geography. Their paper is the beginning of an inventory of economic geography's own geographical differentiation. They are 'geographizing' the discipline to use Agnew and Livingstone's (2011, p. 16) term.
