ON THE LIKELIHOOD FUNCTION FOR THE THREE PARAMETER BURR XII DISTRIBUTION

This paper considers the three parameter Burr XII distribution a and its likelihood funce- tion. We first review a link between this distribution and the two parameter Weibull distribution, in which the latter emerges as a limiting case of the former. Examples of the likelihood function for the three parameter Burr XII distribution are them used to suggest a reparameterization of this distribution.
