Arnab Chakraborty (Cyber-physical planning support systems: Advancing participatory decision making in complex urban environments) is an assistant professor of urban and regional planning at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He has organized and led large-scale, scenario planning processes in the past. His dissertation focused on connecting simple assessment modeling techniques with stakeholder driven planning processes that contributed, in part, in shaping the state government's land use policy agenda in Maryland. He currently leads a project at the LEAM lab for analyzing alternative policy-based scenarios for Maryland, USA. Dr. Chakraborty teaches plan making, communications, and growth management and regional planning.
