摘要

A teacher is always a significant contributor to the educational outcomes of the pupil. Researchers, policy makers, parents and teachers themselves are aware of the fact that the entire progress of a country in the field of science and technology is dependent on the quality of the teachers who impart knowledge and train the students in the right direction towards progress. The present study therefore envisages to investigate job satisfaction, occupational and organisational commitment and performance of teachers in India and Sweden. Responses from teachers in India and Sweden, concerning their job satisfaction, commitment and teaching performance have been obtained using appropriate instruments. The present investigation is envisaged in order to pave the way for better teacher performance.
