Job involvement of employees is a job attitude that attracts much research attention. This study focuses on the influence of organisational role stress on job involvement of employees of a post consolidated nationalised bank in Nigeria. A total of 224 employees selected through stratified random sampling participated in this study. This study adopts use of standardized psychological scales. Detailed data analysis was carried out using statistical techniques which are multiple regression, linear regression, and independent t-test. Organisational role stress and ten dimensions jointly contribute 69 percent variance to job involvement. Role expectation conflict, role erosion, role overload, self-role distance, and role ambiguity are the dimensions of organisational role stress that have significant independent negative influence on job involvement. The implication of organisational role stress on employees' job involvement is discussed.
