Hydromatrix units: operating experience in Austria and Sudan

The Hydromatrix small hydro system is an innovative concept enabling hydro potential to be exploited at existing hydraulic structures, without the need for expensive and complex new civil works. After describing the concept, the authors review development of the prototype scheme in Austria, as well as subsequent applications in Austria and Sudan.
