Sino-Japanese collaboration strengthens

PowerChina and Toshiba Corporation are to strengthen their cooperation in the development of hydro-power, as well as geothermal and thermal power systems, under a strategic agreement announced on 26 October. The two groups have been cooperating in the area of power generation, especially hydro-power, through the exchange of information and the development of new technology and projects. The agreement will extend the scope of the cooperation to the Toshiba Group's other systems and equipment, and to cooperation in investments and the arrangement of finance for projects to expand business opportunities further.
