This paper presents the results of experimental research on shell-side heat transfer coefficient concerning 3 heat exchangers with helical coils. Measurements were carried in laboratory and the following correlation was found to be adequate Nu = 0.50 • Re~(0.55)•Pr~(1/3)(η//η_w)~(0.14) where Re and Nu are based on shell-side hydraulic diameter.
