Local entrepreneurship is gaining significance from both academic practitioners and policy makers because of the importance of business in developing a region's economy. This book focuses on local entrepreneurship through examining the role of rural areas in Europe. The editors have compiled an edited book that stresses the importance of small firms in Europe. The barriers to trade that once existed in Europe have been largely removed (Dana et al., 2005). This book on entrepreneurship in Europe should be welcomed by scholars in the international entrepreneurship field who are interested in small business perspectives.
