摘要

In this paper the authors present a new approach in order to determine the most critical passenger positions in a car. They propose a new methodology for reducing critical position effects during collision with a genetic optimization. In fact, the standardization of crash-tests implies that the occupants are protected and seated with a predetermined position. Also standardization does not take into account individual characteristics, real position and anticipatory reactions during pre-crash. The results of this research will make it possible to evaluate critical positions, to consider new automobile safety criteria which will allow for the creation and improvement of safety equipment.
