摘要

The objective of this study is to investigate the application level of LC techniques regarding accidents reduction in construction projects. A deductive approach using a questionnaire survey is adopted in this study. Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) was adopted to explore the underlying relationships among the identified twenty-five LC techniques. The results of the EFA revealed three components which include LC techniques that reduce accidents on construction projects, these are: communication and planning, workers' involvement, and using safety equipment. The highest component, which is applied in construction projects, was communication and planning, while using safety equipment component was the lowest component. Communication and planning component include the most important LC techniques used to reduce the causes of accidents in construction project. This study will open the door for the practitioners in the construction industry to realize the importance of LC adoption to improve safety in the projects and to attract their attention to the LC techniques that can be applied at Gaza Strip to improve safety.
