OPTIC FIBER INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE BEST PRACTISES, CASE STUDY; AN ANAMBRA, NIGERIA, FIBRE OPTIC LINK

The fiber optic link is a very vital communication media deployed by almost all Information and Communication Technology (ICT) organizations, to derive high switching through signal transmission. The fiber optic link has suffered a lot of problems emanating from excavation, degradation, and wanton destruction. This forms the main basis for this project. This paper discusses the basic principles of telecommunications system. The processes employed in order to collect data for this work is outlined. Subsequently, the equipment and materials deployed in the field work are enumerated. The results of the findings are showcased.Finally, the paper presents the conclusion and recommendations, based on the results obtained.
