Facial feature extraction in frontal views using activeshape models

摘要

In this paper, we depart from the existing approaches for facial feature extraction and model different facial features like eyes, nose, etc. as independent active shapes instead of using a single active shape to represent the entire face. These shapes may be translated, rotated and scaled individually.
