Ecuador eyes output boost

Petroecuador aims to increase natural gas output in the Gulf of Guayaquil by the end of the year to 85 million cubic feet/d from 62 million cubic feet/d now, Ecuador's energy ministry said in a posting on Twitter. By the end of 2013, output will increase to 100 million cubic feet/d in Block 6 in the Gulf's Amistad field, with four new wells dug by a rented jack-up rig, the ministry added.
