Nomura replaces wholesale chief

Nomura has replaced the head of its wholesale business for the third time in as many years, appointing former debt banker Tetsu Ozaki as chief executive of the unit effective from the beginning of April. He replaces Atsushi Yoshikawa, group chief operating officer, who took on the additional responsibility of overseeing the trading and investment banking arm of the Japanese bank in July 2012 after the resignation of veteran Takumi Shibata after an insider trading scandal at the firm. Yoshikawa will retain his COO responsibilities as part of the move.
