VW spread draws fund managers

Volkswagen tapped the ABS market for €820.5m last Thursday in the first true test of investor sentiment since its emissions scandal broke, using generous spreads to convince fund managers to buy its deal. The German auto group surprised the market on October 20 when it revealed plans to issue a new auto lease ABS just a month after news of emissions data manipulation emerged.
