Lenders backing the joint bid of Australian pension funds ifm investors and australiansuper to acquire AusGrid, the country's largest electricity network, planned to launch an M&A loan of around A$9bn (US$6.9bn) into syndication at the end of last week. The loan, split into tenors of 3.5, five and seven years, will be the largest in Australia this year, giving a much-needed boost to a lacklustre market.
