A US$450m-equivalent three-year term loan for an indirect subsidiary of biostime international has seen 10 banks join in general syndication. The facility, which is to take out a like-sized bridge loan that financed Biostime's acquisition of a controlling stake in Australian vitamin maker Swisse Wellness, comprises a US$239.5m portion and a US$210.5m-equivalent Australian dollar piece. Joining mandated lead arrangers, bookrunners and underwriters Goldman Sachs and Industrial and Commercial Bank of China were Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Industrial Bank, China Minsheng Banking Corp, First Gulf Bank, Rabobank, Tai Fung Bank, China CITIC Bank International, CTBC Bank, ICG ASK and Bank SinoPac.
