Charter communications pulled a US$1.5bn junk-bond sale late on Wednesday after failing to agree on yield with investors, as the slide in oil prices kept markets under pressure. The cable company - which took over rival Time Warner Cable in 2015 -was unwilling to waver from the yield of 4.75% it targeted for a new 10.5-year non-call five, said investors.
