The Trump induced stock market rally for financial stocks helped boost bonuses for New York bankers last year to end a two-year slide. But the rise was slim - bonuses across New York City's securities industry rose 1% on average to US$138,210, according to New York State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli. Bonuses fell 15% in 2015 and are down 28% compared with the peak in 2006 (see chart).
