NAB readies debut Social notes

National australia bank (Aa2/AA-/AA-) spoke to onshore and offshore investors iast week for a ground-breaking offering of Australian dollar Social (gender equality) bonds to refinance a portfolio of businesses and assets it had funded. These are the first gender-related bonds from an Australian credit and the first anywhere in the world to include a specific gender equality citation from a government body, in this case Australia's Workplace Gender Equality Agency. The notes will also meet NAB's social bond framework, which aims to promote sustainable and socially responsible investments.
