Oil and gas producer santos is borrowing US$1.2bn in a dual-tranche loan to finance its proposed acquisition of privately held Quadrant Energy. The loan is split equally between a 5.5-year portion and a two-year bridge facility that will be taken out upon completion of the acquisition.
