Multi-tranche deals start busy May

European corporates brought over €6.3bn of multi-tranche trades in just two days last week, offering an amuse-bouche of what is expected to be another busy May. Bankers think volumes will be roughly similar to May last year, when borrowers tapped the euro market for around €44bn, making it the busiest month of 2017. With blackouts now over, many issuers will seek to jump in ahead of the ECB meeting on June 14, which might provide guidance on the end of QE.
