CREDIT SUISSE has promoted Joe Lai to co-head of China investment banking and capital markets. Lai becomes co-head alongside Honggui Li, who moved from UBS in 2016 to become China IBCM head. Lai joined Credit Suisse in 2014 from Deutsche Bank and was previously head of Greater China real estate and industrials, a position he retains following his promotion. He will remain based in Hong Kong.
