Syndicated lending in Asia-Pacific, excluding Japan, rebounded 14% to US$376.1bn in the first three-quarters of 2021, the highest nine-monthly tally in seven years. The recovery came amid significant progress in vaccinations against the coronavirus and a gradual recovery of the global economy from the impact of the pandemic. Although deal flow rose marginally to 1,043 from 1,025 in the same period a year ago, according to Refinitiv LPC data, abundant liquidity among lenders points to hopes of a further rebound in the coming quarters.
