Marius Cara is being seconded to the EUROPEAN COMMISSION to help its funding team build an investor relations function for the EU's giant borrowing programme. Cara will remain based in Luxembourg and move on February 16, and have a similar role as he has at the EIB. The move shows the EIB's help for its sister EU organisation with a big task - the EU has to complete the €100bn SURE issuance and about €750bn NGEU issuance programmes. Cara joined the EIB in 2006 and moved to its capital markets department in 2011.
