摘要

Syndicated lending in Europe, the Middle East and Africa of US$633bn for the first nine months of the year was 13% down on the previous year after persistent uncertainties over the Covid-19 crisis prompted companies to delay or alter borrowing plans in the third quarter. After a busy second quarter, which saw companies raise billions of dollars of short-term liquidity to weather the storm, activity slowed as the market sought clarity on the ongoing impact of the crisis. Third-quarter volume wilted to just US$93bn, down 66% on the previous quarter.
