ASX-listed oil search has completed a placement and an institutional entitlement offer as part of a A$1.16bn (US$700m) equity raising to strengthen its balance sheet and liquidity during a prolonged period of low oil prices. The oversubscribed placement was fully allocated to existing institutional shareholders. The 1-for-8 entitlement offer was 95% taken up by eligible institutional shareholders and the shortfall was allocated to existing shareholders.
