macquarie group has increased a seven-year loan for a second time to US$1.445bn after exercising an accordion option. Three new lenders - Taiwan Cooperative Bank, Chang Hwa Commercial Bank and Taishin International Bank - provided US$85m via the accordion. The deal increased the size and lengthened the maturity of an existing US$900m financing that was signed in March 2017 via an amendment and extension, and had previously been increased to US$1.36bn. Mandated lead arrangers and bookrunners Bank of China and HSBC had launched the A&E exercise in January, seeking commitments from existing lenders to extend the 2017 loan through a US$300m five-year Facility A and a US$600m seven-year Facility B. Following commitments from more than 20 lenders in general syndication, the borrower and the OMLABs scrapped the five-year Facility A and retained the seven-year Facility B.
