A long-awaited trading link between bourses in London and Shanghai is being held up as China's foreign exchange regulator has yet to issue quotas for brokers to trade shares. China's securities regulator and the UK Financial Conduct Authority have given the green light for the new trading link and testing has been carried out by a handful of brokers, with the sign-off from the State Administration of Foreign Exchange the only issue outstanding, sources told IFR.
