Rothschild says M&A cycle nearing peak

Rothschild & co said its immediate pipeline of M&A business remains healthy as it continues to develop its North American business, but still reckons the market cycle is close to a peak. Rothschild's announced M&A activity in the second half of 2018 slowed from the first half of the year. "Whilst we believe the general environment continues to be supportive for this business, we remain alert to signs of a significant turning point in the cycle," the Anglo-French firm said as it announced its 2018 results.
