Bank of America Merrill Lynch's global head of ECM syndicate Akram Zaman resigned last week to take a job on the buyside with MILLENNIUM MANAGEMENT as global head of ECM syndicate, based in New York, sources told IFR. Zaman had been with BAML for about nine years, including heading ECM syndicate in the Americas, EMEA and Asia-Pacific, before being elevated to global head. Zaman, formerly ranked on the professional ATP tennis tour (career winnings US$1,700, according to ATP website), previously spent nine years at Morgan Stanley.
