softbank corp has raised ¥2.41trn (US$21.1bn) from Japan's largest ever IPO, despite a brief disruption to its mobile network during bookbuilding. Both the domestic and international books were well oversubscribed, with demand coming from a mix of long-only and hedge funds, people involved said. The domestic retail offering was also well oversubscribed, said one of the people. The Japanese mobile telecoms unit of SoftBank Group offered 1.6bn secondary shares in its jumbo listing at ¥1,500 each, equivalent to a 5% dividend yield.
