O'Mara Offers New Yarns With Extended Odor Control for Hosiery and Activewear

Solution-dyed yarn producer O'Mara Inc. has introduced two new yarns, which incorporate Milliken Chemical's AlphaSan antimicrobial protection for longer-lasting odor control for activewear and hosiery. "We developed the new high-performance yarns, MicroFresh and SoleFresh, in response to market demand for value-added yarns that offer specific benefits to consumers," said Tim O'Mara, manager at O'Mara Inc. "During our field trials, we reviewed a number of antimicrobial agents, and Milliken's AlphaSan product was the most effective and long lasting in controlling odors," he said.
