YARN FEEDER FOR FEEDING EXTENDIBLE ELASTIC YARN TO HOSIERY KNITTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a yarn feeder that can feed an extensible elastic yarn to a hosiery knitter, as the fluctuation of the yarn tension is maintained in a previously prescribed permission range. ;SOLUTION: This yarn feeder 2 comprises a pair of rollers 3, 4 that rotate in the opposite direction to each other in the state that an elastic yarn 5 is nipped around the rotary shafts arranged in parallel mutually, and the yarn- feeding part 2 that includes the driving means 6 for rotating at least one side of the rollers, the detector 7 for detecting the tension of the yarn in the downstream of the yarn-feeding direction and a program-controlling monitor unit 8 that compare the tension value of the yarn detected by the detector 7 with the value preliminarily set in the program. The control monitor unit 8 is connected to the driving means to change the rotation speed of the roller whereby the difference between the actual tension and the preliminarily set tension value is maintained within a permissible range.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
