Commission Reviews Phosphorus Loading In Lake Champlain,reports On Border River

Ottawa-The International Joint Commission announced Nov.17 that it will hold public hearings starting Dec.15 as part of its review of phosphorus loadings into Missisquoi Bay on Lake Champlain. The bilateral agency also released a report Nov.20 discussing the current state of the watershed supporting the St.Croix River,which runs along the United States-Canada boundary between Maine and the province of New Brunswick. The IJC assists the U.S.and Canadian governments in finding solutions to problems in waters that border the two countries.
