U.S. Commerce Department Probes Pricing Of Wind Tower Products From China, Vietnam

The U.S. Commerce Department announced Jan. 19 that it will begin investigations into utility-scale wind towers from China and Vietnam, following a petition from a coalition of wind tower manufacturers that alleged "unfairly priced" products from those countries were harming the American manufacturing industry. Specifically, the depa$meht said its International Trade Administration will initiate antidumping investigations into utility-scale wind turbine towers from both China and Vietnam, as well as a countervailing duty investigation into towers from China.
