EU Approves Duties on 25 Percent Of Solar Panel Imports From China

The European Union has approved antidumping and antisubsidy duties on the 25 percent of solar panels imported from China that are not covered by a block "price undertaking" accord reached earlier this year between the European Commission and China. Approved in Brussels Dec. 2 by the EU member states in the Council of Ministers, the definitive antidumping duties and antisubsidy duties, which will be in place for two years, amount to an average 47 percent tariff increase on products of Chinese companies that are cooperating with a commission investigation.
