摘要

Rising global temperatures could have 'potentially devastating' impacts on developing countries over the next few decades, but many of the worst impacts could still be avoided by holding the increase below 3.6 degrees Fahrenheit (2 degrees Celsius), according to a report commissioned by the World Bank.rnThe report said Sub-Saharan Africa, Southeast Asia, and South Asia are already feeling the impacts of climate change on agricultural production, water resources, coastal zone fisheries, and coastal safety. The impacts will pose increasing threats to developing countries as global temperatures climb from the current level of 0.8 degree Celsius to 4 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels by the end of the century, according to the report.
