European Commission Urges Law Mandating Green Energy Infrastructure for Autos, Ships

To accelerate the transition away from oil as the dominant fuel source in the European road and shipping sectors, the European Commission proposed Jan. 24 a law requiring EU countries to significantly increase the number of charging stations for electric cars, fueling stations for hydrogen-powered vehicles, and liquefied natural gas depots for ships.
