Alberta, Ontario Cooperate on Climate Change

The premiers of Alberta and Ontario reached a memorandum of understanding May 26 pledging cooperation between their respective climate change innovation organizations. The MOU commits Alberta's Climate Change and Emissions Management Corporation (CCEMC) and the Ontario Centres for Excellence (OCE) to collaborate on reducing greenhouse gas emissions in the production, transportation and use of natural resources in Alberta and Ontario; accelerating the development of renewable energy and energy storage; and fostering new and innovative uses of carbon dioxide.
