Upstream Oil & Gas: Cases, Materials and Commentary

The publisher's logo is, unsurprisingly, a mounted, rotating globe whereas that of the Centre for Energy, Petroleum and Mineral Law and Policy (University of Dundee) is also based on a globe1; the relevance of this is that when I attended what was then called the Petroleum Law Centre in Dundee in 1984, our "cases and materials" were very thin and much of it was photocopies of other materials. Had we been told then that there would be a 600 page book devoted to "cases and materials", even before we consider "commentary" we would probably not have believed it so I approached this book with particular interest, trying to wear two main hats, that of today and that of nearly 30 years ago.
