Olympic Winners

A flap was raised two years ago when news emerged that uniforms and other apparel worn by US Olympians were manufactured in China. That was never going to be the case for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi. Apparel giant Ralph Lauren worked with about 40 US companies to deliver US Olympic uniforms for the opening ceremonies. Among these was a small yarn company in Hickory, NC - Longview Yarn - which dyed the yarn used in some of the garments. The yarn was spun in Pennsylvania and the garments were knitted in California. Wool came from a farm in Oregon.
