Consumer interest in outdoor sports has increased significantly over the last few years, propelling the growth of the outdoor sportswear sector. Outdoor Industry Association estimates that in the US alone, 146.1 million people took part in outdoor activity at least once in 2017, translating to around half of the US population. One of the key factors facilitating demand in the global outdoor products market is the urbanisation trend. According to the United Nations, currently 55% of the world's population lives in cities and this share is expected to reach 68% by 2050, translating to around 2.5 billion additional city dwellers.
