Many companies place great store in operator training. An operator familiar with a piece of equipment will often influence a buying decision. Vermeer, having long recog-nised the importance of operator expertise in optimising the performance of boring equipment, is in the process of introducing an international, certified training programme for its range of Navigator directional drills and Hammerhead Moles. To ensure customers have the best and most relevant training possible, the sessions are held in the customer's home area, in their native tongue, and are conducted by the local dealer's in-house no-dig specialist.
