The construction situation in Poland continues to move along at a healthy pace, with growth of 8% recorded last year and a further 8% expected this year, according to Copenhagen-based analysts European Construction Research. The volume of business is also good at around $15.7bil., which is attributed to the continued growth of the economy. The GNP is expected to be 5-6% in 1997, standing it in relatively good stead for its proposed entry to the EU sometime early in the next decade.
