Komatsu's revenues from construction and mining equipment in the last fiscal year (ending March 31) wereJPY 1680 billion (US$ 17.9 billion), a -3.7% decrease on the previous year. Operating profits were down -15.2% to JPY 209 billion (US$ 2.22 billion). The company said demand for excavators in China dropped considerably during the period, while overall global demand remained sluggish.
