We've seen over the past 20 years, that there's no holding back the march of new technology. The things we once saw as pure science fiction - doors that slide open as you approach them, wow - are now so much a part of our lives that we stand confused in front of old-fashioned doors, waving our arms about to attract the attention of a non-existent sensor. In construction, the advance of technology has to some extent been kept at arm's length by the notion that steel and muscle power the industry.
