World's top 200 remains stable

As we are all too aware, the world has experienced vast changes in the last 18 months or so due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. Certain industries have suffered disastrously but construction has emerged, if not entirely unscathed, then better than most, with it being deemed 'essential' and projects continuing in large parts of the world.This is reflected in the figures for the ICON 200. Despite the list being comprised of contractors' sales figures for 2020 the total is similar to last year's table, which compiled sales figures for 2019 - a world before Covid-19.The total for this year's list is US$1,746 trillion. This is very close to the figure last year, which was US$1,744 trillion - the tables are separated by just US$2 billion, a considerable sum of money to most companies in the world but, in the context of the ICON top 200, a wafer-thin margin.
